In this Privacy Notice, “Talina’’, ‘’We’’, ‘’Us’’ and ‘’Our’’ refers to Talina.ai.
Talina takes the privacy and security of your personal data very seriously. This Privacy Notice outlines the categories of personal data We may collect about you and how We may use it.
Use of AI
Talina uses a well-trained artificial intelligence model to automatically analyze candidates resumes and video and text interviews to provide non-biased, quick, and comprehensive services to both employers and candidates alike.
What Data Do We Collect?
‘Personal data’ means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, most common data being name, email, telephone number or IP address.
We may collect, store and process the following types of personal data relating to you through our website or email, as you have provided:
- Information that you provide to us when interviewing or submitting an application which may include Name, Email address, Country of residence, Address, Occupation, Phone number, IP address device type, Browser type and version, and Recorded video, Audio answers and Files uploaded to questions.
- Information that you provide to us when answering application questions and self-assessment question which includes skill levels.
- Information that you provide to us when signing up and/or paying for the platform as a customer, including Name, Email address, Organisation name, Phone number, IP address, Language preferences.
Data We Collect for AI
Talina is built to eliminate bias. We use all information, commonly referred to as “Personally-Identifiable Information”, ”PII” or ”PII-data” such as your first and last name, your email, and phone number to process the application you applied for. However, for the training, improvement or enhancement of our products, all information, commonly referred to as “Personally-Identifiable Information”, are excluded automatically from any automated or artificial learning, improvement or enhancement. We attempt to use all other data such as, your skills, education, or previous job titles and achievements as anonymized data for machine learning purposes and technology enhancement.
Aggregate Information
We use aggregate information, which does not identify individuals, to monitor customer traffic patterns to the website and particular pages, as well as site usage, to help us improve the design and layout of the content.
Cookies and other information:
We may also collect information about how you use the website using cookies (and other similar technologies), as part of improving the content and functionality of the website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or your mobile device, containing the details of your browsing history and preferences. We may also collect IT information such as IP address device type, browser type and versions. We always ask for your consent before we store cookies.
Why We Need this Information
Personal data we collect from you will be used for the purposes it was provided to fulfil our duties towards our subscription agreement with Employers. We collect data to fulfil the following purposes:
- To capture and store candidates’ video interview answers.
- To provide employers with video interviewing services.
- To analyse and improve our product and service for users.
Legitimate Interests
We process personal data regarding network audits and security logging. These data are collected and processed to monitor aspects related to unauthorized attempts to access your data, thereby protecting your personal data and by association our system.
Your Consent
Talina will use your personal data where you have a given an explicit consent to use your personal data. You can revoke this consent in the future without giving any justification.
Where data will be stored
We process and store data within Amazon Web Services which uses state-of-the-art multilayer access, alerting, and auditing measures. All persistent data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 algorithms.
Who Will Have Access To Your Personal Data?
Your personal data will be shared with the designated people in the companies you applied for. We may also share categories of your personal data, in an aggregated form with certain third parties such as: IT providers for the purposes of system development and technical support; auditors and consultants to verify our compliance with external and internal requirements; statutory bodies, law enforcement agencies and litigants, as per a legal reporting requirement or claim.
Retention Period
The length of time for which Talina retains Personal Information and other information will vary depending on the nature of the services for which the information has been collected and the nature of the information.
Talina may delete information including, but not limited to, stored messages, interviews, videos, audio, other content, and records of your account without notice.
Opting Out Of Further Communications From Us
If you have elected to receive information about Our products or services, and wish to opt-out of receiving such information, then you can do so by sending an email to Hello@Talina.com. You should clearly state your name, country od residence and username.
International Transfer
Talina’s customers, employers and third-party partners may be based anywhere in the world, which could include countries that may not offer the same legal protections for personal data as your country of residence. Irrespective of which country your personal data is transferred to, We would only share your personal data under a strict ‘need to know’ basis and under appropriate contractual restrictions.
Third Party Websites and Services
The Platform may contain links to websites hosted and operated by Third Party Websites related to companies other than Us. We do not disclose your Personal Information to these Third-Party Websites without your explicit consent. Any information you disclose to Third Party Websites is no longer under our control and no longer subject to this Privacy Policy.
Children (Under 13 years of age)
The Platform is not directed to children and children are not eligible to use our Platform without proof of consent from a parent or guardian. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. If we learn that a user is under 13 years of age and has not had consent from a parent or guardian, we will take steps to remove that user’s information from our databases and to prevent the user from utilising the Platform in future.
